The Files library stores images for templates and unsubscribe-page branding. Images receive a public URL so email clients can load them after delivery.

Supported uploads

The storage card shows used, remaining, and total capacity.

Upload an image

  1. Go to MarketingFiles
  2. Click Upload image
  3. Choose a supported file
  4. Wait for Image uploaded
You can also upload from an image picker inside the template editor. Both paths add the asset to the same library.
Optimise images before upload. Email clients download the original asset, so a correctly sized and compressed image renders faster than a large source file scaled down in the editor.

Find and reuse files

Search filters by filename. Each asset card shows its name, size, and upload date. Available actions include:
  • Preview
  • Copy the public image URL
  • Open the original
  • Delete
In a template, select an image or header block and choose an existing file from the picker. Add descriptive alt text even when the visual seems self-explanatory.

Image recommendations

  • Use JPEG or WebP for photographs
  • Use PNG for graphics that need transparency
  • Use GIF sparingly; some clients show only the first frame
  • Size hero images close to their rendered width
  • Upload logos with enough resolution for high-DPI screens
  • Avoid putting essential text only inside an image
  • Provide alt text for meaning and accessibility
For the unsubscribe-page logo, JetEmail displays up to 280 × 72 px and recommends a 560 × 144 px source for sharp high-DPI rendering.

Delete safely

When you request deletion, JetEmail checks current templates for references.
  • If the image is in use, the dialog lists the affected templates and requires Delete anyway
  • If the reference check fails, deletion remains disabled
  • If no current template uses it, JetEmail still warns that a previously sent email may reference the URL
Email messages do not usually embed a permanent copy of a hosted image. Deleting the file can leave a broken image in already delivered messages as well as current templates.
Before deletion:
  1. Open every listed template
  2. Replace or remove the image
  3. Save the templates
  4. Consider whether previously delivered email must continue displaying it
  5. Return to Files and delete only when safe

Storage limits

An upload that exceeds the remaining plan storage or the 5 MB per-image limit is rejected. To make space:
  • Remove assets that are truly unused
  • Compress oversized images and upload replacements
  • Upgrade the Marketing plan for the paid storage allowance
Replacing an image creates a new URL; it does not automatically rewrite templates that point to the old asset.
