Move one sender at a time
Authorise JetEmail in DNS, test one sender and move the rest after you have checked its delivery logs.
- 01
Add the domain
Create a free JetEmail account and add the domain the device or application already sends from. Nothing changes for existing traffic.
- 02
Publish SPF and DKIM
Add the two DNS records and verify the domain. Both providers can be authorised to send at the same time, so there is no cutover moment.
- 03
Issue one credential per sender
Create an SMTP user or API key for each printer, app, customer or environment, with its own monthly quota and IP allow list.
- 04
Repoint the lowest-risk sender first
A staging app or a single copier. Send a test message and confirm the delivery event appears in the JetEmail log with the recipient's SMTP response.
- 05
Move the rest in batches
Leave SMTP2GO connected until bounces, webhooks and reporting on the new side look the way you expect. Then retire the old credentials.

Longer delivery log retention
Device mail fails quietly. A scanner stops emailing PDFs and nobody files a ticket until somebody needs last month's paperwork. By then the question is not whether it broke, it is what the receiving server actually said.
JetEmail keeps 30 days of delivery logs on the free plan and 120 days on paid plans. SMTP2GO's published retention is 5 days free and 30 days paid. Every line carries the recipient's SMTP response, so a bounce is a diagnosis rather than a shrug.
Logs
Inbound filtering is included
SMTP2GO sends. On the capabilities compared here it does not accept mail for your MX records, does not quarantine anything, and does not post a parsed inbound message to your webhook.
JetEmail does all three, on the same account and the same invoice. The first domain is free, then $3 a month per domain. For anyone running customer domains, that is the difference between one vendor and two sets of logs that never quite agree.
Printers, scanners and other devices
Authenticated SMTP relay for copiers, scanners, backup systems, CRMs and control panels that need a smarthost rather than a mail server of their own.
SMTP relayMicrosoft 365 and Google Workspace overflow
Route system-generated mail through JetEmail when SMTP AUTH, direct send or app passwords are awkward to manage across many devices and tenants.
a worked setupHosting provider outbound and inbound
Outbound delivery for customer domains plus inbound spam, phishing and malware filtering, quarantine and parse webhooks, without a second vendor.
inbound filteringApplication mail on an API
Password resets, invoices and notifications over REST, with logs, webhooks, tracking and per-credential controls in the same dashboard as the relay.
the email APISMTP2GO comparison questions
- Can I run JetEmail and SMTP2GO at the same time?
- Yes. Both providers can be authorised in SPF while you test, so you can move one device or application at a time without interrupting the rest of your mail.
- How long are delivery logs kept?
- 30 days on the JetEmail free plan and 120 days on paid plans. SMTP2GO's published retention is 5 days on the free plan and 30 days on paid plans. For device and appliance mail, where a failure is often noticed a fortnight later, that window is the difference between an answer and a guess.
- Does JetEmail work as a smarthost for printers and appliances?
- Yes. Authenticated SMTP on the standard submission ports, with a separate user and password per device if you want each one metered and locked to an IP range.
- Is JetEmail cheaper than SMTP2GO?
- At most volumes. Both are $10 a month at 10,000 emails. At 50,000 JetEmail Pro is $10 against SMTP2GO's published $30, and at 100,000 it is $20 against $75. Overage is $0.20 per 1,000 against SMTP2GO's published Professional rate of $0.85.
- Does SMTP2GO handle inbound mail?
- Not on the capabilities compared here. JetEmail also accepts mail for your MX records, filters spam, phishing and malware, holds anything suspect in quarantine, and can post parsed messages to a webhook. Inbound is free on your first domain and $3 a month per domain after that.
- What is available to make the switch easier?
- SDKs for Node.js, Python, PHP and other common languages, a WordPress plugin, and integrations for cPanel and similar hosting control panels. For a larger migration, email sales@jetemail.com.
